BAWA founder Janice Girardi was driving to work when she spotted this extremely sick puppy trying to drink out of an oily mud puddle.
When she pulled over and tried to get close the terrified puppy started screaming even though Janice was still meters away. She had obviously been harmed by humans.
It was a dangerous situation with trucks and buses coming far too close, but over the course of an hour Janice edged closer and closer, and finally, with the help of some food, managed to catch the puppy in a towel.
Janice rushed the puppy she called Angel to the office where she was fed and hydrated by BAWA’s wonderful shop staff.
Luckily, Angel tested negative for parvo and distemper. After the day on more fluids, food and meds she was taken to a clinic.
Angel is recovering and ready for a loving home where she can continue to grow strong and healthy.
We pick up over 100 animals like Angel every month that need treatment in a clinic. Without your help we have no way to continue to pay for their rescue and treatment.
We can’t do this without you.
