SAVED AT SINGAPADU

SAVED AT SINGAPADU

Posted on June 30, 2014

Vaccinated, collared and saved! Thanks to the Singapadu community of people who respect and love the Bali dog, and to BAWA staff and supporters, this Bali street dog was kept off the streets and safe inside during government’s vaccination visit this morning.

He was one of many dogs saved by this tremendous joint effort to protect Bali’s precious heritage dogs from senseless killings.

Governor Pastika last week told Animal Husbandry officers to eliminate stray dogs. BAWA learned the government was scheduled in 4 Singapadu banjars this morning and worked through the night and morning to
help villagers keep their community dogs safe. We hope government noticed the community anger at the threat to their dogs.

BAWA_LOCALS KEEPING DOGS SAFE

Everyone, please find out when Animal Husbandry plans to vaccinate against rabies in your community and keep your dogs safe inside. Don’t let them be killed. Let BAWA know when government will come to your banjar. We will do all we can to help save your dogs.

We still hope the government will consider the millions of dollars and years of hard work that has gone into the proven program of rabies control through vaccination.

We need to save Bali’s heritage dog, not deliberately destroy it. Please, to help BAWA save Bali’s dogs, DONATE today.

We appeal to government officials: VACCINATE DO NOT ELIMINATE.
